Exam tables, procedure chairs, and clinical casework are heavy, awkward, and not something your facilities team should have to unbox and assemble between patient appointments. White-glove delivery and installation handles that end to end — the equipment goes from the truck to fully assembled and in position, without your staff touching a packing crate.
Here's exactly what happens, in order, and just as importantly, what's deliberately left out.
The five steps
What's not included, on purpose
Plumbing, wall mounting, and electrical work are not part of white-glove delivery, regardless of manufacturer or product line. A cabinet with a sink, a wall-mounted workstation, or a table with a hospital-grade outlet still needs a licensed plumber or electrician to make the actual connection — that's a code and licensing issue, not something a delivery crew can take on.
One specific exception worth knowing: Midmark's own delivery service explicitly excludes installation for Synthesis cabinetry. If you're ordering casework alongside tables or chairs, ask us which tier applies to each item on your order.
How this compares to standard freight options
White-glove is the top of a range of delivery options for freight-shipped equipment like exam tables and cabinetry. Each tier gets your order further into the building before your team has to do anything with it.
Without liftgate service, standard freight assumes your facility has a loading dock or a forklift to get the pallet off the truck — the carrier won't lower it to the ground for you. Liftgate is the service that gets a shipment to curbside when you don't have that equipment on hand.

Common questions
- Does white-glove delivery cost extra?
- It's an added service on top of standard freight. Let us know you want it when you request a quote and we'll include it in your pricing — no surprises after the fact.
- Does this include plumbing, wall mounting, or electrical work?
- No. Those require a licensed plumber or electrician and aren't part of delivery and installation, regardless of which manufacturer or product line. If a cabinet needs a sink hookup or a workstation needs to be wall-mounted, plan for a separate trade to handle that connection.
- Does white-glove apply to Synthesis cabinetry the same way?
- Mostly, with one real exception worth knowing: Midmark's own delivery service explicitly excludes installation for Synthesis cabinetry specifically. Ask us about the specific product you're ordering if you're not sure which tier applies.
- What if my facility doesn't have a loading dock?
- That's exactly what white-glove is for. Tell us about your building — dock access, stairs, elevator size, tight hallways — when you request a quote, and we'll make sure the delivery crew is prepared for it.
